Sikhs will be celebrating the Parkash Ustav (Birthday) of Guru Nanak by holding the annual Southall Nagar Kirtan (procession).

The procession starts from the Havelock Road Gurdwara and finishes at the Park Avenue Gurdwara.

Thousands of Sikhs will attend or parade through the streets of Southall.

There will be lots of free food stalls all along the procession route.

The Police advise against travelling through Southall on such occasions. Since there are two celebrations taking place on the same day, it is definitely not advisable to travel by car.
