Due to a national strike by public sector unions, most schools will be closed on Wednesday 30th November. Staff are protesting against government plans to alter pension schemes.

Early indications show that many of the borough’s schools and children’s centres will be affected.

Parents and carers should contact their child’s school directly for the latest information.

The following schools in Southall have informed Ealing Council that they will be closed on Wednesday:

• Lady Margaret Primary School
• North Primary School
• The Ellen Wilkinson School for Girls
• Villiers High School
