Free weekend parking

Tue 03 Dec 2013
Ealing Council is offering free weekend parking at car parks throughout December and during the first weekend of January.

The offer runs at all council car parks (except Perivale Station). It will allow people to shop, eat and drink locally on weekends throughout the Christmas period without paying a penny for parking. The free parking starts on Saturday, 7 and Sunday, 8 December 2013.

The deal will support the first ever Small Business Saturday on 7 December. Small Business Saturday is a nationwide event designed to encourage people to shop locally and support independent shops and businesses.

Leader of Ealing Council, Councillor Julian Bell, said: "Residents tell me that they want to have busy and vibrant local shopping areas, but if we want to keep shops on our high streets, we have to use them."

"Businesses have told us that when free weekend parking has made a big difference when we have offered it in the past, so I hope that many residents will take advantage of it again."
