A married couple have been found dead at their home in Southall.

Officers were called at approximately 3.10pm on Friday 29 November to an address in Priory Way, Western Road, Southall.

They discovered the bodies of a man and a woman.

The 35-year-old woman, known as Poonam, had been killed by "compression of the neck".

Her 36-year-old husband, Sanjeev Kumar, was found hanged nearby.

His death is not being treated as suspicious and police said they were not looking for anyone else in connection with the deaths.

Sanjeev Kumar is thought to have strangled Poonam and then hanged himself.

The couple's next of kin have been informed.
