Support needs of Pakistani familes with disabled children

Sun 10 Jun 2007
Debbie Kramer–Roy, a PhD student at Brunel University in Uxbridge would like to invite the families of disabled Pakistani children (up to 12 years) to a meeting, at the Abu Bakr Mosque on Southall Broadway, to discuss the quality of support they are receiving.

She is carrying out an approved research project.

  • Do you have a disabled child (up to 12 years) in the family?
  • Are you finding it difficult to get support in looking after the child?
  • Would you like to think about why this is difficult and to find ways of explaining your support needs better so that they can be met?
Debbie, who speaks Urdu fluently, has lived in Pakistan for many years where she has worked with disabled children and their families, communities and schools.

Full information about the meeting on Sunday 17 June 2007 is in the Events section.

If you were unable to attend the meeting, it is still not too late to benefit from taking part in the project! Please feel free to phone Debbie to find out more, as she will be happy to explain how the project will be helpful for your family! The number is 079 60820560
