The Labour Party has retained control over Ealing Council after winning a majority of seats in Thursday's local elections.

The party won 53 of the 69 seats on the council giving it an overall majority. This means the Labour Party will control the council for the next four years.

Labour won all the 15 seats in the Southall wards, as it did in 2010.

Three councillors are elected for each of the borough's 23 wards. The political make-up of the council is 53 (Labour Party), 12 (Conservative Party) and 4 (Liberal Democrats).
