New hard plastic recycling service

Bassam Mahfouz, cabinet member for environment and transport said: “This is just one of the many things that the council is doing to help residents to recycle even more.
It is fantastic to see this new service available and I look forward to seeing its impact on the borough’s 50% recycling target.
If you have broken or unwanted plastic items, bring them down to Greenford Re-use and Recycling Centre on Greenford Road and help to reduce the amount of waste being sent to landfill.’’
Many items can be recycled at Greenford Re-use and Recycling Centre including some that residents may not be aware of.
The list below highlights some of the more unusual items which can be recycled.
