Ealing Council and its contractor Murrill Construction Ltd will be starting the carriageway surfacing works along the Broadway on Monday 03 November 2014.

These works are expected to be completed before Christmas, weather permitting.

To facilitate the works, the surfacing will be split into three stages.

Stage 1 – the existing surface will be removed, repaired and reprofiled in preparation for the final surface. The eastbound one-way movement will be maintained at all time as well as access to/from all side roads.

Stage 2 – the final surface will be laid, this will require The Broadway to be closed in both directions during the evenings only. There will also be the need to stagger the closure of all side roads; however, the exact date and time of these closures will be confirmed at a later stage.

Stage 3 – the resurfacing of the South Road junction – start date to be confirmed.

This work is part of a wider project called the Southall Big Plan, which will see a series of improvements taking place in Southall over the next five years and is the result of a consultation where more than 1, 400 people had their say on the improvements they wanted.
