Cold weather is expected over the next few days and residents are being asked to take care in the cold snap.

The Met Office has issued an alert about cold weather, with temperatures expected to drop to 0 Celsius this weekend and it could last until Tuesday.

Council gritters will be out across the borough to keep the main roads moving and drivers are asked to take extra care.

The council is asking residents to be good neighbours during the cold weather by checking that elderly or vulnerable people in their area are safe, warm and have essential supplies.
