Police in Ealing have hosted their annual 999 Community Fun Day at Trailfinders Sports Club in West Ealing.

Over 150 members of the public attended last Thursday, 13 August 2015 and took part in fingerprint taking, a colouring competition, and young children had the opportunity to have their photos taken whilst in police uniform.

A cross section of the Met's various units attended to make the day as enjoyable as possible despite the rain.

Officers from the Met's Territorial Support Group, along with armed police officers attended, as well as traffic vehicles and officers from Ealing's Safer Transport Team were on hand to offer free cycle marking.

Police dog handlers and Forensic Officers also paid a visit, along with Ealing's Special Constabulary and cadets.

On the day, Ealing's cadets launched their brand new Twitter account, @EalingVPC

London Fire Brigade's 'Green Watch' from Ealing also in attended.

Sergeant Matt Jenkins, Ealing's Youth Engagement Coordinator said: "I want to express my thanks to all those involved who made the day so much fun and such a success. Special thanks to all those who braved the rain to come and see us. It was also exciting to launch the Volunteer Cadets' Twitter account."
