Council welcomes new Representative Deputy Lieutenant for Ealing

At the formal introductions in the mayor’s parlour, Mr Richard Kornicki CBE DL, the new Representative Deputy Lieutenant for Ealing, was welcomed by the Mayor of Ealing, Councillor Harbhajan Kaur Dheer, the leader of the council, Councillor Julian Bell, the chief executive, Martin Smith, and the Mayor’s Consort, Councillor Ranjit Dheer.
Mr Kornicki said about his appointment: "It is a particular privilege to have been asked to serve as Representative Deputy Lieutenant for the borough in which I have lived for many years."
"I am especially looking forward to supporting the many voluntary bodies and cadet organisations which contribute so much to our life, and to connecting with civic and military organisations."
Councillor Bell said: "The council is pleased to welcome Richard Kornicki as the new Representative Deputy Lieutenant for Ealing. His intimate knowledge of the borough will complement our ongoing efforts to unite and promote our diverse and vibrant communities. We very much look forward to forging a strong working relationship with him over the coming years."
