Person dies after being hit by train at Southall train station

Police were alerted just before 2.10pm on Thursday 8 September 2016 following reports of the incident and emergency services were called to Southall station
A spokesman for British Transport Police said: "Officers are on scene alongside the London Ambulance Service however a person has sadly been pronounced dead."
"We are now working to identify the person and inform their family."
"We are not treating this incident as suspicious."
Following the incident, trains from Paddington towards Reading and Heathrow Airport were delayed by up to an hour.
