Launch of Lancaster Estate Residents Association
Sun 30 Jul 2017Food and drink was provided at the launch which was attended by Catalyst Housing personnel, Cllr Tejinder Dhami of Dormers Wells ward, Cllr Mohinder Midha of Lady Margaret ward, Nicola Wheeler of Havelock Neighbourhood Coordinator for Catalyst Housing.
The cake was jointly cut by Mayor of Ealing Councillor Simon Woodroofe and Ealing Southall MP Virendra Sharma.
Chairman of the Lancaster Estate Residents Association Jasdeep Singh said that we have got the “positive attitude to make a difference” and to “to serve the community”.
Mayor of Ealing Councillor Woodroofe was “delighted to be here” for a “great enterprise you are embarking on.”
Ealing Southall MP Virendra Sharma wanted to congratulate the “local residents who have taken the initiative” with the result being the local MP and Mayor being present here today.
He also said that we are “here to assure you that we will work with you.”
The local residents have taken the steps and can go on to inspire others to do the same.
The aim of the association is to support the local residents/users in activities and initiatives to enhance life for all the community.
Residents should ownership of their area.
We don’t want rubbish on our streets.
We don’t want drinking on our streets.
We don’t want spitting on our streets.
It is the only way to make Southall a make a better place
